背景

 

「Future Artist」是「港青長沙灣中心—多元文化融滙網絡」的其中一個重點項目，以配合服務隊伍提供橋樑讓少數族裔會員與本地華人認識的工作目標。由2008年尾開始，嘗試透過「藝術」與「生活」結合，讓少數族裔會員透過不同的藝術媒體發聲，透過公眾展覽，令普羅大眾加深對他們的了解。「Future Artist」一直以「我的故事」作為展覽主題，是次展覽為「我的故事8.0」，希望能夠延續過往的成果，讓更多本地朋友透過他們的藝術作品了解少數族裔朋友在香港的日常生活。

 

「Future Artist」的意義在於能夠給予少數族裔小朋友及青年人一個向大眾發聲的機會，同時亦讓本地朋友能透過這小組加深對少數族裔的了解。我們的信念是凡是喜歡藝術的朋友，都可以參與籌備工作與小組的活動，而我們展出的作品不一定有大師級的水準，但你一定可以透過作品了解參加者的所思所想。一如以往，在籌備展覽作品的過程中，我們發現了很多有潛能的小小藝術家，同時亦增加了我們對他們的了解，透過觀賞他們的作品，你可能會發現有些少數族裔朋友與香港華人無異，充滿才能與活力。

Background

“Future Artist” is a group of Ethnic Minority (EM) children and youth as well as the local volunteer who love ART. Organized by the YMCA of HK, Cheung Sha Wan Centre, Multicultural Team, the group would like to tell the society that most of the EM students are talented and everyone could be an artist if equal opportunities is given.

 

Future Artist’s another focus is to facilitate participants to express themselves through artworks. By making different type of art pieces, participants can express their own culture and thoughts. By exhibiting their products, can create a channel for local public to understand more about the EM community and promote cultural harmony. The group likes to use “My Story” as the exhibition main theme and this is already the “My Story 8.0” exhibition.
